1. Identification of the Operator

Satvana is operated by Christian Werner, NIF 275579255, resident at Vale del Rei, 7630-536 São Martinho das Amoreiras, Portugal.

All properties are duly registered as Alojamento Local with the Municipality of Odemira under the following RNAL numbers:

  • 66999/AL (Estabelecimento de Hospedagem – 5 quartos)
  • 65975/AL (Estabelecimento de Hospedagem – 4 quartos)
  • 66987/AL (Moradia – 1 quarto)

These registrations were issued following official inspections and confirm compliance with Decree-Law 128/2014 (as amended).

2. Scope

These Terms govern your use of https://satvana.org and any booking or stay at our off-grid sanctuary. By using the website or making a booking you accept these Terms.

3. Our Services

Satvana offers conscious co-living, self-retreats and facilitated group retreats in a simple, nature-immersed, off-grid environment. All stays are subject to availability and our ethos of presence, respect and care for the land and community.

4. Bookings and Payments

  • Bookings are provisional until we send written confirmation.
  • You must provide accurate information.
  • Payment Structure (Short and Long Stays): To confirm your booking, a non-refundable 50% deposit of the total stay cost is required. This deposit secures your spot and covers our preparation and commitment. The remaining 50% balance is due on arrival (cash, bank transfer, or card — please confirm your preferred method when we confirm your booking).
  • Prices are in EUR and include the off-grid sanctuary experience as described on our website.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation Policy (Short and Long Stays)

  • More than 30 days before arrival: Full refund of the 50% deposit (minus any transaction fees).
  • Less than 30 days before arrival or no-show: No refund of the deposit (full 50% forfeited). The deposit is forfeited as it covers our lost opportunity to re-book.
  • Once checked in: No refunds for early departure, shortened stays, or unused nights (the full agreed amount remains due).

Exceptions & Notes
In cases of genuine emergencies (e.g., serious illness with documentation), we may offer flexibility or partial credit toward a future stay — please reach out directly so we can discuss compassionately.

All cancellations must be in writing (email) to satvanainfo@gmail.com to be valid.

We reserve the right to cancel any booking for any reason (e.g., if it doesn’t align with our community guidelines); in such cases, you’ll receive a full refund.

6. House Rules and Guest Responsibilities

To preserve the sanctuary’s spirit:

  • Respect quiet hours and any screen-free periods requested.
  • Follow off-grid guidelines (water conservation, electricity use, waste separation).
  • No smoking, drugs, or disruptive behaviour.
  • You are fully responsible for your own safety and belongings. The land is wild and natural.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a stay (with pro-rata refund where reasonable) if house rules are seriously breached.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Portuguese law, Satvana / Christian Werner is not liable for personal injury, illness, loss of property or indirect damages except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Off-grid living carries inherent risks; you stay at your own risk and confirm you are in suitable health for this environment.

8. Intellectual Property & Guest Content

All website content belongs to Satvana. Guest photos or testimonials may be used only with your explicit consent.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Odemira / Beja.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Changes will be published at https://satvana.org.
